How it works

    Contact us with details of the issue, including what you have noticed, where it is located and how long it has been occurring. We can discuss whether a targeted inspection is appropriate. 


  • 2. We inspect the affected area

    We carry out a visual inspection of the relevant areas of the property and consider any information or history you can provide about the defect.

  • 3. We assess the likely cause

    We review the available evidence and identify the likely cause or contributing factors where we can reasonably establish them. Where the cause cannot be confirmed from a visual inspection alone, we will explain what further investigation may be required. 

  • 4. We report our findings

    You receive a clear, independent report setting out our observations, findings and conclusions, together with any appropriate recommendations or further investigations.

  • 5. You know what to do next

    The report gives you a clearer understanding of the problem and helps you decide what action to take, whether that is arranging repairs, obtaining specialist advice or carrying out further investigation.
